I signed up for a laser hair removal package. The girls at the location I went to were nice enough though the consultant was a little pushy and wasn't clear about the payment guidelines.

I was assigned overseas before I had a chance to finish my treatments but continued to make my payments online. When I made my most recent payment I noticed a finance charge for $821 which is about 80% of my balance. My promotional period had expired without my realizing it. Granted, I should've paid closer attention to the fine print but there is nothing on the mobile site that gives you the promotional information unless you download a statement.

When I signed up for the promotion there was no minimum monthly payment required (though I still made one) and shortly thereafter that policy changed. I tried calling customer service and spoke with multiple people who agreed that it was a completely outrageous finance charge but there was nothing they could do to help me. I have no confidence in this company and will never ever do business with them again and I would caution anyone considering it to reconsider.

They insist they do not tick people into paying astronomical finance charges but I disagree and based on the other negative feedback I have seen online I am not the only one. It would behoove them to be more customer service oriented.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $822.

Preferred solution: waive finance charge.
